Vena Lumen

Together with students from Fontys Eindhoven, ACE has developed an interactive sofa for the GLOW light festival. The title of the project, "Vena Lumen" literally means "heartbeat light"..

The design converts the heartbeat into dancing light, which moves in the sofa. The light shows the beauty of two living together and working together.

To demonstrate the feasibility of the technology and to test the system, a 'proof of concept' was first made. This was eventually scaled up and presented as a bank during GLOW 2018.

ACE has supported the project through several workshops. At first to define a clear objective from which the package of requirements have been drawn up. In addition, ACE advised the students on how to make the design strong enough, easy to produce and easy to assemble.
