Electrical engineering challenges we help solve
- Your mechanical design is ready, but the electrical design is holding up the build.
- An existing installation needs upgrading, but the drawings no longer match reality.
- New equipment has to be integrated into a line that is already running.
- Electrical, mechanical and automation concepts were developed separately and don't fit together.
- Your team lacks the capacity to deliver compliant documentation on time.
We help engineering teams solve these challenges every day.
What we deliver
Electrical schematics & documentation
Complete, structured EPLAN projects: schematics, terminal and cable plans, bills of materials and documentation that stays usable throughout the lifecycle of the machine or installation. Where existing documentation is maintained in AutoCAD, our engineers can work in AutoCAD as well.
Control & distribution panel design
Panel layouts for control and low-voltage distribution panels, designed to be practical to build, commission and maintain.
Cable, protection device & component sizing
Calculations based on the actual loads and machine requirements, so the design is right the first time.
Assembly & testing
Support during panel assembly and testing, so issues are found before the equipment reaches the site.
Installation, commissioning & user training
Our engineers support installation and start-up on site and train your operators and maintenance teams.
Quality, safety & technical compliance
Designs and documentation that meet the applicable safety and technical requirements.
Engineering support at every stage
Depending on the project, we can be involved from the concept phase, working closely with mechanical and automation engineers to define the electrical requirements from the outset. This way the electrical design is developed around the actual load, space and machine requirements, and the electrical, mechanical and automation concepts stay fully aligned.
We can also join at a later stage, particularly in brownfield, retrofit and expansion projects. Our engineers then work from existing documentation, site information and project requirements to develop, modify or update the electrical design, support upgrades and integrate new equipment into existing installations.
Why ACE for EPLAN engineering
At ACE, electrical engineering is part of multidisciplinary teams alongside mechanical and automation engineering, including vision systems and robotics. Our engineers understand how electrical design, PLC software, mechanical design and commissioning come together in real projects. That's why we design with the whole system in mind:
- Designed for the build: layouts and cabling that panel builders and installers can execute without guesswork.
- Designed for service: documentation maintenance teams can rely on when every minute of downtime counts.
- Designed to scale: structured designs that make upgrades and expansions easier.
Types of projects we work on
- Machine development & equipment engineering: new machines and OEM equipment
- Industrial automation: production lines, robot cells and automated systems
- Electrical distribution & power systems: low-voltage distribution and power supply
- Energy efficiency & electrification: reducing energy use and electrifying processes
- Modernisation & digitalisation: upgrading existing installations
- Greenfield projects: new facilities, from concept onwards
- Brownfield & retrofit: upgrades, expansions and integration into running installations
On-site. Hybrid. Remote.
With offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Portugal, ACE can quickly scale engineering capacity and integrate experienced engineers into your team.
On site: embedded with your production and commissioning teams
Hybrid: on-site presence combined with remote engineering
Remote: design, calculations, documentation and technical reviews

Frequently asked questions
Which EPLAN software do you work with?
Our engineers work in EPLAN Electric P8 and adapt to the EPLAN version, templates and project structure used by your team, so the documentation fits seamlessly into your existing standards.
Do you also work with other electrical CAD software?
Yes. EPLAN is our core platform, and our engineers also have hands-on experience with AutoCAD. For projects based on other electrical CAD packages, contact us to discuss your requirements and how we can best support you.
Can you work with our existing templates and standards?
Yes. Our engineers work within your templates, parts data and documentation standards.
Can you work on existing installations?
Yes. In brownfield, retrofit and expansion projects we work from existing documentation and site information to update the electrical design and integrate new equipment.
At which stage can you join a project?
From the concept phase, together with mechanical and automation engineers, or at a later stage for detail engineering, realisation or upgrades.
Do you also support assembly and commissioning?
Yes. We support assembly, testing, installation, commissioning and user training.
Do you work on site or remotely?
Both. Depending on the project, we work on site, remotely or with a hybrid approach.
