PLANT 3D CAD DESIGNER
Are you looking for a new challenge where you can make a direct contribution to sustainable and innovative projects? Then we would like to hear from you. As we expand our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who enjoys working on a wide range of assignments for leading clients.
From Eindhoven, we work on projects that deliver substantial energy savings, reduce CO₂ emissions and improve operational processes. These projects are mainly within the food and wider process industries, water treatment and petrochemicals. In our open, informal organisation, you will work alongside fellow draughtspeople to create utility drawings. These may include energy recovery systems using steam, condensate, hot and cold water, heat pumps and related technologies.
What will you do?
- Develop flow diagrams and P&IDs as the basis for the detailed design
- Design and produce layout drawings for industrial installations
- Create and detail 3D designs in AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Develop designs as fully as possible in 3D to create a clear and consistent overall model
- Follow a structured design process in which you:
- Position the main equipment within the installation
- Define and optimise pipe routing
- Add and coordinate valves, fittings and instrumentation within the 3D model
- Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to deliver technically sound, practical designs
Your work will bring your colleagues’ designs and ideas to life and turn them into practical solutions. You will also carry out basic design calculations and understand how the system is intended to operate. Where components are missing, you will create them yourself in AutoCAD. You will work with the client to develop the final design, visit client sites when required and contribute to the standardisation of drawing work.
What do you bring?
- A completed technical vocational or higher professional qualification, preferably in mechanical engineering
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate clearly with engineers and other disciplines
- A precise and structured approach, with an eye for detail and technical quality
- Experience with 3D drafting in a technical or industrial environment
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Inventor is a strong advantage
What can you expect?
- An engaging and varied role within a respected engineering consultancy
- Work with impact: our projects contribute to a more sustainable future
- A wide variety of technical projects and clients
- Plenty of freedom and independence, with flexibility to organise your time and maintain a healthy work–life balance
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working
- A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package
- 31 days of annual leave
- A training budget and access to GoodHabitz to support your personal development
- A people-focused organisation with regular team activities, including barbecues, drinks, karting and a Christmas party
