End-to-end engineering responsibility for defined project scopes.
ACE takes end-to-end responsibility for defined engineering work packages, from concept and detailed design to documentation and validation, delivered from our own offices by a multidisciplinary team, in close alignment with your engineers.
Engagement model
When project outsourcing adds value
Project outsourcing is the right model when the scope can be clearly defined and your internal team should stay focused on core development.
Capacity peaks
Absorb workload peaks without overloading your engineering department or delaying parallel programmes.
Specialised scope
Access disciplines you do not have in-house, such as structural calculations, electrical design in EPLAN or certification documentation.
Time-to-market
Run engineering packages in parallel to your internal roadmap and shorten the overall development cycle.
A structured delivery model with clear stage gates
Scoping
Technical workshop to define requirements, interfaces and constraints.
Proposal
Fixed scope, planning, milestones and a transparent budget.
Engineering
Execution by a dedicated ACE team under one project lead.
Review and validation
Joint design reviews and verification against acceptance criteria.
Handover
Complete documentation and support during production ramp-up.
Remote collaboration, organised as one team
For larger development programmes and strategic outsourcing, many clients choose a long-term co-development partnership. Processes are aligned in detail from the start.
Capacity and infrastructure
ACE takes care of capacity planning, staffing and engineering infrastructure at our own offices.
Secure data exchange
Modern communication protocols ensure efficient workflows and well-secured access to your data.
Concurrent engineering
Concurrent engineering tools shorten the development process, with regular on-site meetings for alignment and joint brainstorming sessions.
Multidisciplinary engineering under one roof
Mechanical, electrical and structural engineers work in one integrated team, so interfaces between disciplines are resolved in design, not on the shop floor.
Mechanical design
3D modelling, detailing, tolerance analysis and DFM/DFA.
Electrical engineering
Schematics, panel layouts and harness design in EPLAN.
Structural engineering
Calculations, FEA and verification to applicable standards.
Product development
From concept and prototyping to industrialisation.
Technical documentation
Manufacturing drawings, BOMs, manuals and CE files.
Automation & control
PLC programming, motion control, electrical cabinet design and commissioning.

Frequently asked questions
How is project scope defined?
Before the project starts, we jointly define the scope, assumptions, milestones and expected deliverables. The agreed scope forms the foundation for project execution.
Who is responsible for project delivery?
ACE takes responsibility for executing the agreed scope of work and delivering the defined project outcomes.
How can I monitor project progress?
We conduct regular status meetings and project reviews throughout the project. Clients receive ongoing updates on progress, key decisions and completed milestones.
Can my team be involved during the project?
Yes. While the project is delivered by ACE, collaboration with client experts remains an important part of defining requirements, conducting technical reviews and validating deliverables.
Can I outsource only part of a project?
Yes. ACE can take responsibility for a specific work package, a particular project phase or an entire product development process.
How are scope changes managed?
If new requirements arise or the scope changes during project execution, we jointly assess the impact on planning, resources and budget before implementing any changes.
How is the project team structured?
The team structure depends on the size and complexity of the project. Work can be carried out by a single ACE team or distributed across multiple collaborating teams, depending on the project requirements.
What happens after the project is completed?
Once the project is completed, we deliver the agreed results and project documentation and, if required, provide support during implementation, commissioning or production ramp-up.
How is intellectual property handled?
Ownership of design results and intellectual property is defined in the project agreement before the work starts.
Can you work with our CAD tools and standards?
Yes. Our engineers work natively with industry-standard CAD, CAE and PLM tools and adapt to your PDM/PLM systems and design standards, without data conversion losses.
How quickly can a project start?
After an initial technical discussion, we prepare a proposal with scope, planning and milestones. The start date is agreed together, based on the complexity of the project.
