Co-Development · Engineering team extension
ACE engineers in your team, without a recruitment process.
Mechanical design, electrical, structural and automation engineers who work with your software, your standards and your schedule. One engineer, 2 to 5 engineers or a complete team.

When our clients use team extension
Team extension addresses specific capacity or competence needs, without changing how your team works.
Detail phase
Detailing workload exceeds capacity
The concept is approved, but the team cannot absorb the volume of manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and tolerance analyses within the deadline.
ACE responseOne or two ACE mechanical designers take over the detailing in your CAD system. Your team stays focused on design decisions.
Electrical design
Electrical schematics behind schedule
Schematics and panel layouts are delaying commissioning, while the mechanical design is already complete.
ACE responseAn ACE electrical engineer works directly in your EPLAN project, according to your standards and libraries.
Structural calculation
No structural expertise in-house
A modification to the equipment requires structural verification and the team has no structural engineer.
ACE responseAn ACE structural engineer performs the calculation, finite element analysis and verification according to the applicable standards.
Technical documentation
Documentation at the end of the project
The equipment is ready for delivery, but the manuals, final bills of materials and CE technical file are still missing.
ACE responseAn ACE technical documentation specialist completes the documentation in parallel with the final tests.
Engineering profiles
ACE proposes engineers with the competences and software your project requires, working directly in your CAD/PLM environment, without file conversion between systems. The software listed for each profile is an example, not a closed list.
Mechanical design engineer
Mechanical development from concept to manufacturing detail, in the client's CAD/PLM environments.
Software examplesSiemens NX · Solid Edge · SolidWorks · Inventor · Creo · CATIA
Electrical engineer
Electrical design of machines and installations: schematics, control panels and wiring ready for manufacturing.
Software examplesEPLAN · AutoCAD
Structural engineer
Structural calculation and validation by finite element analysis, with verification according to the applicable standards.
Software examplesAnsys
Automation and control engineer
PLC programming and motion control, from machine software to on-site commissioning.
Electromechanical engineer
Mechanical and electrical integration of machines and equipment, from concept to commissioning.
Technical documentation engineer
CE technical documentation, bills of materials and product files, ready for certification and production.
Four-step integration process
Profile definition
Competences, software, seniority, location and duration of the extension, defined together with your team.
Engineer proposal
ACE proposes the engineer matching the profile, with CV and experience in similar projects.
Validation
Your team validates the proposed engineer, after a technical meeting if required.
Onboarding and follow-up
Project start and continuous follow-up by an ACE account manager.
Team extension or in-house hiring
| In-house hiring | ACE team extension | |
|---|---|---|
| Start | After a recruitment process | Pre-selected engineers, available within weeks |
| Commitment | Permanent contract | Duration matched to the project |
| Capacity | Limited to the existing structure | Scaled up or down over the programme |
| Technical support | In-house team | ACE multidisciplinary teams in six offices |
| Technical coordination | Your team lead | Your team lead |
Working arrangements
At your site
The engineer joins your team on site, with direct access to the equipment and the people on the project.
From an ACE office
Remote work from Porto, Poznań, Eindhoven, Delft, Brugge or Lummen, with secure access to your systems.
Hybrid
On site in the phases that require it, such as start-ups, reviews and tests, and remote for the rest.

Frequently asked questions
Who coordinates the engineers' work?
Technical coordination stays with your team: your team lead sets the priorities and follows the daily work. ACE handles selection, contractual follow-up and continuity.
Are the engineers ACE employees?
Yes. All engineers are ACE employees and are supported by our in-house multidisciplinary teams. ACE does not work on a staff-leasing basis.
Do the engineers work with the software we use?
Yes. ACE proposes engineers experienced in the software your project requires, whether CAD, CAE, EPLAN or other, working directly in your PDM/PLM environment and according to your design and quality standards.
Can we scale the team up or down during the project?
Yes. The size of the extension is adjusted to the programme phases, for example more capacity in the detail phase and less after delivery.
Can team extension evolve into project execution?
Yes. Once the scope is clearly defined, the collaboration can move to project execution, with ACE responsible for the agreed deliverables.
