Career Story Roni Mostafa

For Roni Mostafa, the journey into engineering started during his Mechanical Engineering studies. Looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience alongside his education, he joined ACE Netherlands as an intern and took his first steps in a professional engineering environment.

One of his first assignments involved designing generic machine frames that could be applied across different functions and applications. It was an opportunity to move beyond textbooks and lectures, putting engineering principles into practice while contributing to real projects.

After completing his internship, Roni chose to continue his journey at ACE as an Mechanical Engineer. The transition from student to professional gave him a new perspective on engineering. While education provides the theoretical foundation, daily engineering work requires balancing technical solutions with practicality, efficiency and customer value. 

What started as an internship became the beginning of a career path focused on continuous learning, professional growth and real world impact.

GROWING AT ACE THROUGH DIVERSE ENGINEERING PROJECTS

Since joining ACE, Roni has worked on a variety of projects that have helped shape both his technical expertise and professional mindset. Each assignment has introduced new challenges and opportunities to expand his knowledge.

A key project in his development was a modularity project at ITEC, where he focused on selecting machine components and contributing to system design decisions. Through this work, he gained valuable experience with industry standard engineering tools such as Siemens NX and Teamcenter, while also learning the importance of producing clear and consistent technical documentation. Beyond technical skills, Roni's role has helped him develop greater confidence and independence. Taking ownership of tasks, communicating effectively with colleagues and contributing to shared project goals have become essential parts of his day-to-day work.

For Roni, engineering is not only about solving technical challenges. It is also about collaboration, responsibility and delivering results together as a team.

AN ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS GROWTH

A significant part of Roni's development has been the culture at ACE. He values the supportive atmosphere, where colleagues are approachable, knowledge is shared openly and learning is encouraged. The freedom to take ownership of personal development, combined with access to courses and training opportunities, has allowed him to continuously broaden his skills and explore new areas within engineering. This combination of trust, flexibility and support has played an important role in helping him grow both professionally and personally.

Outside the office

Outside of work, Roni enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active through sports. These activities provide balance and keep him motivated both personally and professionally. 

Although he is still exploring which direction he ultimately wants to take within engineering, he sees this stage of his career as an exciting opportunity to learn, develop and discover new possibilities. Looking back, he has already come a long way since joining ACE, and he is eager to continue building on that foundation in the years ahead.
