STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (Poznań)
Are you an experienced Structural Engineer who thrives on technically complex and highly visible projects?
At ACE, you will work on unique, large-scale structures, ranging from innovative water slides and amusement rides delivered worldwide to other complex constructions across various industries, including emerging opportunities in the cruise industry. Based in the Poznań region, you will be part of international project teams and closely involved throughout the entire process, from concept design to execution. In this role, you combine in-depth structural expertise with practical feasibility and directly contribute to projects that must perform reliably under challenging conditions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Structural Engineer based in the Poznań region, you will work within an international team, performing structural calculations and analyses for large-scale constructions across various industries.
This includes support structures for water slides and amusement rides in the attractions industry, as well as an increasing number of structures for the cruise and maritime sector. You will design, calculate and detail structures that need to perform reliably under demanding conditions.
You will be involved throughout the full process, from initial concept to final delivery. Together with fellow engineers, you will develop smart, feasible solutions that are technically robust and practical to realise. Your responsibilities include:
- Setting up FEM calculation models for designs created by you or by other engineers in the team
- Performing structural calculations to verify that designs are feasible and sufficiently strong, in line with applicable design codes and load cases such as Eurocode, EN, ASTM or other relevant standards
- Proposing redesign solutions when an existing design does not meet the required safety factors
- Preparing and reviewing structural calculations and calculation reports
- Designing and detailing steel and/or civil structures
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Identifying risks and optimising designs where needed
- Compiling clear technical reports for delivery to clients
- Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting projects through to execution
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a comparable field
- Experience with structural calculations, FEM modelling and relevant engineering software
- Affinity with complex structural engineering projects, such as attractions, maritime or cruise-related structures, or other large-scale constructions
- Preferably knowledge of applicable standards, such as ASTM, Eurocode, EN or other relevant standards
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
- A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
- Good command of both Polish and English
